Anyone ever fished Swains pond in Barrington? I am going to take my brother out on Swains as he just bought a house on the lake. I have never fished it and I was hoping to get some ideas on where to go on the water. Any advice will be greatly appreciated
Thanks
Chris

Go up the lake take first right around the Iland good for smallmouth ;D go down to the middle it will start to come up to 10 feet stop use a rattle trap ;) up the lake by the camp ground docks has some good spots be carefull there are some rocks >:(

Chris, I was there years and years ago so I will have trouble describing which is the north or south side of the lake. But the end of the lake near the campground has a small cove adjacent to the campground. Largemouth bed there. There are also markers towards the center of the lake, its a rocky area, smallies will bed there. If the water temp is in the high 40's or low 50's back off the rocky areas and fish the breaks with beans buddies. If its in the mid 50's throw a jerk bait around the flats. You'll catch them.

Got out on Swain's today. I got only one smallie it was a rat. I caught it off a buddy in the middle of the lake by the marker bouys. The water temp was 51. It was a cold raw day out on the water. It was still great to have taken a day off from work to be on the water. Thanks Don & Joe for the recommendations. I appreciate it!
Hey Joe you got me hooked on Buddies! :)

Yeah they work!! But with a cold front and an East wind, I'm not shocked it was a tough bite.
