Post by: Henry E. on May 22, 2013, 02:22:10 PM
Has anyone been over to Attitash to prefish?  If so, any comments or tips?  Thanks

Sorry, haven't been there. Might get out there for an hour or two next week. Bring a frog rod, you'll need one

hank, been fishing tash, for over 40 years, it can sometime be very good, other times it just sucks, if there is any pollen in the water most times it could be hard to get them to bite. like joe said, frogs can pay off, there are pads and grass on the most northern left side cove. if you go up there, the water depth change is fast, there is a large flat up there with a big rock, [that you can't see] so be carefull. i f the water is off colored, try rattle traps. big spinnerbaits. i have not been there this year yet but will put the boat in some day next week. hope that helps you guys out.   bob beans

hey joe. you know what they say about the guy on his home waters, he does not do well, i think we will have about three hours to fish, then all the boats with skiers will be out, and they are a pain in the ass. the launch ramp may also be a joke, with guys putting in there boats. hopefully we will miss that.its going to be real warm on sat. so i have not been on tash. this year, in the past when there is a green milkie color to the water it just sucks. i have been told that the weeds have been going wild, that may seem good, like you said the frog bite might be the thing to do, traps, spinnerbaits[chart.] buzz baits, and worms have worked well  for me there for years.in the winter tournaments the guys have got some 5 pounders, and don't forget there are still some pike swimming around in that lake. i hope all the guys catch a bunch of fish.  bob beans

I hit the tash once for 4.5 hours during the drizzly dark few days we had. caught a bunch of rats. 2 good ones. early post spawn, bucks were guarding fry.

Bob left early.  He left around 2pm.  I think he felt the fish he had weren't worth sticking around for the weigh-in.  Hopefully he will be at the next one at Nothwood

no big fish for me.....a bunch of 2 pounders but no big ones. Frankly it was the most fun I've had in years. Minus a couple of drops I figured them out.

Top 3 was Don Joe and myself
