WINNISQUAM
« on: April 22, 2012, 03:25:23 AM »
It was an awesome day on Winnisquam.   :)  Seemed like quite a few brought in some decent fish.  I didn't catch it, but I saw what looked like at least a 5 lb smallie cruising in 14 feet of water.   :-\  I did catch a Lake Trout oddly enough on a suspending jerk bait.  Not really what I wanted, but still fun to catch.  Never caught a Lake Trout before.  Wish I took a picture of it but wasn't thinking and just released it.  Anyway, nice start to the fishing season.  Congrats to all who made some cash.  See you all at the next one on Bow!!   ;D ;D

What a beautiful day out there! Thanks to all of our federated members (and of course Melissa  ;D) who helped make the tournament run smoothly.  It was nice to see people chipping in with the weigh-in.  Everyone appeared to catch some fish and the weather held up.  Can't ask for more than that.

Yeah the was nice, but for me not so much... :(  I lost 3 fish and broke the rod while trying to bring in one of the fish I lost.  After I lost my 3rd fish at 2:30 pm and only having a 1.6 lbs smallie in the live well,  I got frustrated and packed it in and got off the water.  Sorry about being a sore looser, I should have stayed for the weigh in.
