Squam Lake OPEN October 13th

Sorry i didn't get this up sooner everyone...
Our next event is on Squam Lake out of the state ramp it is an OPEN event so anyone may attend.
Dress warm! it's going to be a cold one especially @ send off with temps in the 20s.

We will be doing registration at the state ramp and we ask that in order for things to run more smoothly you pay first then launch.

Please be registered and on the water by 7:15 AM registration opens at 6:00 AM.  The morning send off meeting takes place at 7:20 AM and send off will start sharply at 7:30 AM.  The tournament will end at 3:30 PM unless otherwise stated at the morning meeting.

Tournament Fees are as follows w/ %90 Payout ....

Current Registered NH Bass Hunters Members
These are anglers that have fished at least one event with the club this season (this does not include team side that is separate).

$30 Tournament Fees
$10 Split Lunker
$15 Launch Facility Fee
=$55 Total Due to fish event

Non NH Bass Hunters Members
These are anglers that have not fished at least one event with the club this season they will need to become a member ( no exceptions).

$30 Club Membership Fee
$30 Tournament Fees
$10 Split Lunker
$15 Launch Facility Fee
=$85 Total Due to fish event

Does anyone know how many boats showed up, and who won with what winning weight?

Craig there were 8 boats 10 guys total only 7 weighed in, it was a tough day.  Don Conrad came in with 9.11lbs and would have won it, but there was a misunderstanding with weigh-in time among some of the guys so Reggie docked 6lbs off the weight of half the guys or so which put him in first with somewhere around 8.50lbs.  I will have the results and standings updated this week.  Don, if your reading this you still got second place Melissa will mail your winning check over to you.  All and all though it was a chilly start, but a beautiful day on the water.

Just as a point of clarification.  Reggie did not dock anybody 6 lbs.  I brought up our rules to our tournament director regarding those who were late to the weigh in site.  The misunderstanding was not regarding the time, it was where that people thought they should check in.  It has always been in the cove where the Cottage Place is for as long as we have been on this lake.  Marc made this announcement in the morning as to where we were weighing in.  I left the decision up to our tournament director.  He decided to follow our rules so that we didn't set a precidence where it is ok to be late.  I do not like that I am singled out here as the bad guy for other peoples mistake.  This post almost implies that I did this on purpose to win the tournament.  I was unaware of what other people had for weight when I brought up the ruling to Marc.

Relax Reggie I wasn't implying anything I was just stating what you told me when I got into weigh-in.   Marc didn't say anything to me about the subject he asked me what the penalties were and I told him what you had told me. I based the penalties on what you said to me before everyone else arrived, it is what it is, I had fun it was a good day I am not saying you were wrong rules are rules.
The misunderstanding was that Don not having ever fished a Squam event with our club always fished clubs that had a check-in boat at the channel.  He didn't realize it was different with our club maybe he didn't hear in the morning, I don't know it really doesn't matter now.  When people saw the results they would of asked what happened so I just stated what I knew of the situation.  I appreciate you clarifying I wasn't aware of any conversation between you and Marc, just our conversation before everyone else arrived.

 It was not  just me not at the weigh in site  there was 3 outher boat with me on Big Squam
I did not hear anything about check in at the cottage place I sat out on Big Squam waiting for the check in boat  at 3:30 we all went up the river. To start a touirnament 7:35 on Big Squam and end it on Little Squam at the Cottage we would have stop the tournament 15 minutes earlier It took 14 minutes to go from cottage place to Big Squam to let the fish go

This is the only place we have to weigh-in and as far as I know it has allways been posted that way. To bad we can't get fish and game to get rid of that split lake bit because it has definatly caused problems, but it wouldn't change the check in point.

I have been walking softly but will respond as tournament director in a seperate thread shortly.   Tracey.....You are correct in the weigh in site and as of lat week I have received permission at a new site on the big side of the lake that will help this problem from resurfcing.

I honestly did not know where the wiegh-in was, I had  never been on Little Squam before!  it is what it is, I am still surprised at the number of boats that were late... That was the largest number of boats showing up late to a weigh-in that I have seen in the few years that I've been fishing tourneys.... maybe there was more to the story.

The problem is not the weigh in site the problem is NOBODY said that you had to be at the cottages at 3:30
NH Bass Hunters is a new club and has no rule check in is at the cottage. If Mark made a announcement that check in was at the cottage then why was he and two other boat still on Big Squam they are all from the old club and should know the old rules
