B-O-R-I-N-G

What's going on?  This board is dead!  What,,,,,,,no one's been out fishing anywhere? :(   I went out Sunday morning with a friend from work.  For the last couple years I've been hearing some good things about Sabbatia Lake in Taunton, MA.  All I heard is the lake is loaded with 5+ lb. largies.  Yup!  You guessed it!  No luck!! >:(  The lake is already pretty much overrun with Milfoil, >:( and as you pull up to a very nice launch, the water was dirty and had a bad smell to it. >:(  My friend outfished me from the back of my boat and did catch several 3.5 lbers and a 4 lber using a black Senko.  Half way through the day I switched from a frog to the same bait he was throwing and ended up catching one that was pushing maybe 2 lbs. :-\  Oh well.  By that time of day I was just happy I didn't get skunked! :o  I think I'm going to have to find some time to prefish the Merrimack! ;)

Sounds about right for a Massachusetts body of water... ::)
I went up to Highland Lake in NH Saturday, had a fun day caught 10 or so Largies smallest 2.5 largest 3.5
I am unsure if I will make the Marrimack to prefish, this weekend I only get really one day to fish I think i'll be heading north again.

Yeah Ryan, I think before I get to prefish the Merrimack I might give Big Island Pond a try.  I have to give Herb Lippold a call to see how high the water is over there.  I got a key to the boat ramp after our spring cookout and haven't attempted to go over there yet.

From some reports I've read over on the Bass Boat Central New Hampshire boards you are good to go on BIP.

Bob, that's one benefit of my aluminum Tracker.  Not too worried about bumping a rock every once and awhile, as long as I'm not opened all the way up on the motor. ;)

That's true Tracy.  Didn't think of that.  The boat itself I don't worry too much about.  The motor is a different story.

I am heading back from NJ on Saturday... FINALLY! I am hoping to get out on Monday if all goes well.    What's the TEMPS been back home for the last 2 weeks?   Have we moved to a post spawn yet?
Bad day of fishin' beats a good day of work anytime!!

Hit newfound for a couple hours this morning, caught half a dozen smallies between 2.5 and 4lbs before the rain chased me off, fair weather fisherman when fun fishing! bucks locked on, not sure about the water temp didn't even turn on the electronics, spent a little time fishing and a little time on a relaxing boat ride.
