7.14.12 Pawtuckaway Night Tournament (Closed Club Event)

Our next event is on Pawtuckaway Lake out of the Fundy Launch
This event is closed to Federated Bass Hunter members only and one guest of there choice (Guests must fish out of the same boat as the member. Please see rules for closed events)

Please be registered and on the water by 6:45PM registration opens at 5:30PM.  The morning send off meeting takes place at 6:50PM and send off will start sharply at 7:00PM.  The tournament will end at 7AM Sunday Morning unless otherwise stated at the meeting.

Tournament Fees are as follows w/ %90 Payout ....

Current Registered NH Bass Hunters Members
These are anglers that have fished at least one event with the club this season (this does not include team side that is separate).

$30 Tournament Fees
$10 Split Lunker
=$40 Total Due @ Registration

Non NH Bass Hunters Members
These are anglers that have not fished at least one event with the club this season they will need to become a member.

$30 Club Membership Fee
$30 Tournament Fees

To All - I was at Pawtuckaway yesterday, it was HIGHLY reommended and I am glad I did...  WOW!  I can only imagine how scary this lake can be at night.  Tons of submerged rocks!  Oh yeah and several islands that don't show up on my Navionics chip... GREAT!

On another note, Nottingham Police was checking vehicle and trailer registrations at the lauch.  They issued two tickets to some poor souls.  Check your trailers to ensure the stickers are up to date.

BUG SPRAY and ice

lots and lots of bug spray,,,,,head nets, very light rain gear like the original frog toggs works as well. If any one wants a pair or two of surgical gloves (i have a box) they work well. Bugs cant bite through them, unfortunately they do not breathe and your hands will sweat (I cut a coupl fingers) I mostly use the gloves when there is rain in the forcast at night as your hands will get so pruney that you'll cut your fingers every time you tie a lure on. Another thing that works well is dryer sheets as mentioned in this past BASS Masters Mag. pin one to your collar and or hat and a couple around ur cuffs and you should be good to go.

Marc - That is some great advice on the dryer sheets!  I will try that and the surgical gloves!

Dryer sheets do work I only ever used them on my dog because I wont spray him with chemicals for obvious reasons I tuck one in his collar and the bugs for the most parts stay clear.  There are always a few rogues that just don't seem bothered by it, but they do work.
